My partner gave me a bonsai for my birthday this year and it’s as if I got a new baby. I tiptoe around it and try to detect the smallest of changes. I think it’s hard to strike that delicate balance between helping it grow and keeping it small at the same time. Maybe it can serve as a constant reminder that no matter how big we dream, there’s always a limit to how much we can achieve. And that’s quite alright.
