We were good at making love

We were good at making love

I was happy when Jenny finally reunited with her ex-husband and father of all of her 5 children, who came to visit her at her request. But my joy was bitter-sweet since I knew that this really did mean the end, even though she was yet to make that decision at that particular moment. They had not spoken to each other in decennia. And now, not only did she ask him to come, but she also apologized. Apologize? Jenny? This was totally out of character for her. She let go of her pride and acknowledged the pain she caused. Only thing was, she forgot to mention all the pain she felt. She took all the blame for the tango of two, and then took it along with her for all eternity. The apology was her final sacrifice, her final enabling act. But it could have been different. It could have been real.
